Project breakdown

The full story, not just the glamour shot.

Our structural engineer specced an 8-foot LVL beam to replace the load-bearing wall between this Salem kitchen and dining room. Two-day structural work, then three weeks of finish work — new shaker cabinetry, a 10-foot quartz peninsula with bar seating, refinished oak floors, LED recessed lighting. The kitchen is now the hub of the house, and the load-bearing wall is only visible as a slight ceiling transition. Engineer-stamped, city-permitted, final-inspection cleared.
